Reading the Land
Up one level
An introduction to Land Degradation.

The Landcare Field Guide, compiled by Cullen Gunn was originally published in 1996 by the then Department of Natural Resource and Environment in Victoria, supported by Landcare Victoria and FarmSmart.
This Landcare Field Guide is part of a range of material published
by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment through its program
Reading The Land. The National Landcare Program has strongly supported
this concept.
Reading The Land presents technical information on geology, landform, soils,
flora, climate and regional drainage in a manner designed for easy reading
and appreciation.
Firstly it helps us develop a greater love and respect for our land. Moreover,
technical awareness of land and land use issues is readily translated into
community empowerment.
