- The Ovens soil health forums included key note speakers with a wide range of expertise on soil health. This folder includes some information and links to more from these speakers.
- Soil Health - The Journey
- A Farmer Friendly Handbook of Information to Advance Soil Health, Sustainability and Productivity. This booklet was developed as a result of the Ovens Landcare Network Soil Health project, funded by the National Landcare Program. This book is the culmination of years of work by many people in North East Victoria, including guides, mentors and farmers, and describes trials aimed at understanding more about soils and their management. In part funded through supporting government grants, it is based on the thoughts of commercial farmers and their experiences gained through countless hours of work throughout the trial period.
- Soil Health Program
- The Ovens Landcare Network has been managing and coordinating a range of Soil Health projects in association with member groups. These projects have established trial sites, trained mentors and run a wide variety of forums and field days.
- Soil Health.com
- This website was developed to to provide background information relevant to soil health and the sustainable use of land for agriculture, horticulture and other practices, including forestry. While it does not appear to have been updated for some time, the website has a range of useful information on soil biology, fertility, organic matter and fungi.
- Victoria Felix
- Improving Rural Victoria with Trees. This is an online version of the original book from 1988, and much of the information may now be out of date.
- White Paper
- Through the Land and Biodiversity at a Time of Climate Change White Paper, the Victorian Government seeks a discussion as to how the Government can best work with the community to support improved land and biodiversity management in a time of Climate change.
