Maffra & District Landcare Network
Maffra & District Landcare Network (MDLN) was formerly one of three networks that made up the Lake Wellington Landcare Network (LWLN). However, in August 2008, after much consideration and negotiation between the two Boards, MDLN decided to become recognised as an independent Network within the West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority Region. Structurally the MDLN now sits alongside LWLN and the three other Networks (Bass Coast, South Gippsland and Yarram Yarram Landcare Networks) within West Gippsland which means MDLN will now have an equal voice in regional decision making and planning. The MDLN covers an area of approximately 200,000 Ha and is bounded by Licola in the north, Longford in the south, Cowwarr in the west and Munro in the east.
