Calling for North East Landcare Award Nominations
The North East CMA is calling for nominations for the 2008 North East Regional Landcare Awards. Closing date for nominations has been extended to 31st August!
The North East Regional Landcare Awards are to encourage and recognise the outstanding commitment to Landcare from a diverse range of individuals and Landcare groups. Awards are run by the North East CMA and proudly supported by the Victorian Action Plan for Second Generation Landcare.
To date, the North East Landcare Active Service Awards have publicly acknowledged a group of local heroes with a combined involvement and service to Landcare in excess of eleven hundred (1100) years.
In addition to this, a number of regional award winners have gone on to win Victorian Landcare Awards in recent years. Most recently, Lyn Coulston won the 2007 Victorian Individual Landcarer and Lindsay & Ian Humphry won the 2007 Victorian Primary Producer Award.
The North East CMA would like to see further recognition of outstanding Landcare effort.
Landcare and community groups, and individuals are all encouraged to nominate for any categories.
Nominations have been extended to close Monday 31st August 2008.
