The East Gippsland Landcare Network is hosting the EDO for their workshop on Native Vegetation Laws. We welcome all members of the community to participate in this workshop.
Topics will include:
· Implementation of the Native Vegetation Framework in local planning schemes including permit requirements, offsets and opportunities for community participation in decision making
· Protection of endangered species, vegetation, and habitat under Victorian and Commonwealth legislation
· Other topics depending on interest – e.g. weeds; local laws; native vegetation on public land. Please let the workshop organiser know the issues that concern you most so that they can be communicated to the EDO prior to the workshop
Event Details
· The workshop includes a comprehensive set of written materials and resources
· Lunch is supplied
· Attendance is restricted to community groups and their members
· The workshop is based around a PowerPoint presentation with plenty of opportunity and encouragement for questions and participation in discussion by workshop attendees
· Morning, lunch and afternoon tea breaks provide opportunities for networking
