Feel like doing some coastal conservation planting on the Surf Coast?
On Tuesday October 9, 2008, there’ll be a planting get together in three coastal pockets simultaneously: Point Addis, Southside carpark and Jan Juc Creek (down from Torquay Boulevard).
Torquay Landcare Group has invited three small community groups to join forces with us on the day: Friends of Point Addis, Friends of Jan Juc Creek and Surfers Appreciating Natural Environment (SANE). This has been prompted by the sponsored presence of 30-50 Quiksilver staff who will join the volunteer planting efforts of these community groups.
Afterwards we plan to get together at Bells Beach to enjoy a lunch, that has been prepared by Torquay Landcare Members.
The seedlings are ready, the ground prepared. Contact Torquay Landcare Group if you want to join in the activities of the day.
