Land and Biodiversity White Paper Released
On Monday 7 December 2009, the Minister for the Environment and Climate Change, Gavin Jennings, announced a major policy initiative of the Victorian Government called Securing Our Natural Future, a Land and Biodiversity White Paper. This White Paper sets out a new framework for action that will significantly change the way Victoria’s natural environment is managed.
Included in this announcement was the proposed merger of CMA's and Coastal Boards across Victoria to create four Natural Resource & Catchment Authorities (see fact sheet 7).
