How to Subscribe
This How-to is intended for:
Registered Users
The Landcare Gateway has the option for users to subscribe to automatic email notices of News and Events, topics or areas, ie group sections.
If you wish to subscribe to content then you just first join the Gateway and then login.
Subscribing to other content
Subscription is done with a single click when registered users are logged in. When viewing a page or section (folder) which you wish to subscribe to, click on the subscribe link on that page. This is usually at the bottom of the page next to the print this and send this links.
For example, to be notified of any new information added into a Landcare group's website area, navigate to the group section, and click on the subscribe link.
Another way of subscribing to content is after doing a search in the Gateway. This will allow notification of any content on a particular topic, such as funding or pests. Just enter the search text into the search box, and click on the Search button. Once the Search Results page appears, the user can choose to subscribe to the search just made. This feature is only available for a simple search, and will ignore any advanced search options that may have been chosen.
Logged in users can check their subscriptions by clicking on their username in the user menu at the top left of the site then clicking on "my subscriptions" link, available in the user menu. The link to "my subscriptions" is only shown when a user is already subscribed to something. Click on my subscriptions to delete any subscriptions no longer required.
