Create a Group website
This How-to is intended for:
Content Managers
The Landcare Gateway sites have a specific content type to setup a website section for a Landcare or related group, called an Organisation type. This acts much like a normal folder, except it also has a front view which shows the organisation description, categories, contact details and logo. The Organisation type also allows a range of searches specifically by category or text.
To check if your group has a site, use the Search box in the top right of the website, using the name of the group. If a site for your group shows, go to the How to listed below. If no listing appears for your group, use the following steps.
If your Landcare or related group does not yet have a section created for them, and you wish to have this setup on a regional Gateway, follow these steps:
- Navigate the regional site your Group is based in.
- Click on the Contact link on the top right of the page, fill in the form requesting the creation of a site for the group, giving some information on your group.
- Submit the form.
- You will be contacted in time when the site has been created.
- To be able to manage the content for this site, you must be given permissions. See the next section for this.
