Coastcare Week 2008 Spurge Purge
In celebration of Coastcare Week 08 our Townies Group will be conducting a Spurge purge Working Bee along the Otways Coast. Sea Spurge (Euphorbia paralias) is an invasive weed that dominates primary dunes pushing out our native vegetation. Meet Carpark opposite Mobil Service Station Apollo Bay, Bring Gloves, Hats, Water and hand tools.

Community Detectives Project comes to Albury/Wodonga
The Australian National University in collaboration with the Bureau of Rural Sciences, Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry are conducting a research project called ‘Community Detectives’. We are examining the use of science cafes as a means of getting people talking about volunteer biosecurity monitoring or potentially becoming what we are terming a ‘community detective’.
